To analyze the changes in the current system, the World Economic Forum (WEF), in partnership with the Center for Innovation, Artificial Intelligence and Digital Technologies of the Dom Cabral Foundation (FDC), published the 5th edition of the report "Future of Work 2025", pointing out the 15 main professions that should employ thousands of people by 2030, but also which ones can be left aside.
At least 170 million new jobs will be created between 2025 and 2030, while 92 million current jobs will be replaced by more advanced functions - that is, there will be an increase of 78 million (14%) in the global workforce. For this, governments, companies and the educational system must adapt quickly, the study points out.
Conducted with more than a thousand global employers between May and September 2024, the survey points out that 39% of the skills currently used in the labor market will be modified or become obsolete. Among the outstanding skills for this new labor market, technological literacy will be the most expected by employers.
