Emergency services were called to the eastbound carriageway at around 5.50pm on May 23 following a crash involving a Toyota Yaris and a BMW R1250 motorcycle.

According to Wiltshire Police, both vehicles were travelling eastbound when the collision occurred.

The motorcyclist sustained life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital for urgent treatment. The driver of the Toyota Yaris, a man in his 30s, was uninjured.

The A303 was closed in both directions while collision investigators carried out enquiries at the scene. The road has since reopened.

Wiltshire Police are now appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward.
