Salisbury City Council’s Community Services Committee is due to meet next week, with community grants, local projects and the council’s wider community strategy among the issues on the agenda.

The meeting will take place on Monday 12 October 2026 from 6.30pm to 8pm at The Guildhall in Salisbury.

The committee meeting is expected to provide an opportunity for councillors to review a range of matters relating to community support and investment across the city.

One of the items on the agenda is the end-of-project reporting for the Cultural Grants programme for 2025/2026. Councillors will have the opportunity to consider how funded projects have progressed and the outcomes reported by organisations that received support.

Budget monitoring is also included on the agenda, giving the committee an opportunity to review financial information relating to its areas of responsibility.

Councillors are also due to consider new community grant applications for 2026/2027. Community grants can provide financial support for projects and organisations working to benefit residents and local communities.

Applications relating to community grants for 2027/2028 are also listed for consideration, potentially giving the committee an early look at future funding requests.

Another item concerns the proposed Salisbury City Council Community Lottery. The committee will consider information relating to the lottery and how it could form part of the council’s approach to supporting community organisations and projects.

The meeting will also consider a review of the Community Infrastructure Levy process. The review includes issues around risk and resourcing and is intended to examine how the current process operates.

Community Infrastructure Levy funding can play an important role in supporting infrastructure and community improvements linked to development, making the process an area of interest for residents and community groups.

Councillors will also consider Stage 2 Community Infrastructure Levy projects. The report sets out projects being considered as part of the next stage of the process.

The committee is further due to receive a progress update on the Community Strategy Delivery Plan. This will provide an opportunity to review progress against the council’s wider community priorities and the work being delivered.

Members of the public can follow the meeting through the council’s online video stream. The meeting papers, including the agenda and individual reports, have also been published by Salisbury City Council ahead of the meeting.

The meeting will be held at The Guildhall, Salisbury, on Monday 12 October from 6.30pm. Residents wishing to contact Corporate Services about the meeting can email corporate@salisburycitycouncil.gov.uk.

The meeting comes as Salisbury City Council continues to consider how funding, community programmes and infrastructure investment can support local organisations, projects and residents across the city.
