Salisbury Residents Urged to Have Their Say on 2027/28 Council Budget
Salisbury residents are being encouraged to take part in Salisbury City Council’s 2027/28 budget consultation before the survey closes on 18 October 2026.
Salisbury residents are being encouraged to have their say on how Salisbury City Council should prioritise its spending as part of the council’s budget consultation for 2027/28.
The council is asking local people to complete an online survey to help understand the issues and services that matter most to residents as councillors consider the budget for the coming financial year.
The consultation provides an opportunity for people across Salisbury to share their views and highlight the areas they believe should be given priority when decisions are made about council spending.
Residents who would prefer to give their views in person will have one further opportunity to take part in a face-to-face consultation at Salisbury Charter Market.
The session will take place on Tuesday 13 October 2026, between 9am and 12pm, giving residents the chance to speak directly about their priorities and provide feedback as part of the consultation process.
People can also contact their local city councillors directly by phone or email if they wish to discuss their views about the council’s budget. Details of local councillors and their contact information are available through Salisbury City Council.
The council says the responses received through the consultation will be collated and shared with local councillors.
Councillors will then use the feedback alongside other information when considering the council’s spending priorities for the 2027/28 financial year.
Residents are being reminded that the budget consultation survey will close on Sunday 18 October 2026.
With local authority budgets affecting the services and activities available in communities, the consultation gives Salisbury residents an opportunity to make their views known before budget decisions are made.
Anyone who lives in the Salisbury area and wants to contribute is encouraged to complete the survey before the closing date.
The online survey can be completed through Salisbury City Council’s consultation platform. Residents who need further information or would rather speak directly to their councillor can also use the council’s online councillor directory to find the appropriate contact details.
The final face-to-face consultation at Salisbury Charter Market on 13 October provides another opportunity for residents to take part without completing the survey online.
Salisbury City Council is encouraging residents to take part and make sure their priorities are heard as councillors prepare to consider the 2027/28 budget.
