Got banned on Vinted? Here’s how to try to get your account back
Got your Vinted account banned? Find out how to appeal the decision, recover your account, contact Vinted support and what to do if your ban is temporary or permanent.
If your Vinted account has been banned, there is an official process you can use to appeal the decision.
Vinted says accounts can be banned for reasons including breaking its Terms & Conditions, selling prohibited or counterfeit items, operating multiple accounts, commercial selling from a standard account, or other catalogue-rule violations.
How to appeal a Vinted ban
First, check the Vinted message inbox and the email connected to your account. Vinted says the official moderation decision should contain a link allowing you to appeal the ban.
When submitting your appeal, explain clearly why you believe the ban was made in error and provide any evidence that supports your case.
For example, if you believe a listing was incorrectly identified as counterfeit, provide evidence of authenticity. If Vinted believed you had multiple accounts, explain the situation and provide information showing which account belongs to you.
What if the ban is temporary?
Some Vinted bans are temporary and can automatically end after 7 to 30 days, depending on the reason for the restriction. Vinted says the end date should be shown when you log in.
What if I have been permanently banned?
A permanent ban can still allow you to contact Vinted about the possibility of having the account unbanned. You may also be able to withdraw money from your Vinted Balance, although Vinted says withdrawals can be restricted in certain circumstances, including suspected fraud or payment-provider concerns.
Importantly, Vinted says you can appeal a moderation decision only once and within six months of receiving the decision notice.
Don't create another account
If your account has been banned, creating another account may make the situation worse. Vinted's rules generally prohibit users from having multiple accounts, with limited exceptions for standard and Pro accounts.
If you think your account was hacked
If you were banned because someone else used your account, tell Vinted immediately. Vinted recommends contacting support and explaining that the account may have been compromised.
