Sean Morris has sexual risk order extended following police application
A registered sex offender has had his Sexual Risk Order extended by four years and amended to cover contact with children after he breached the conditions.
Sean Morris, 60, of Massinger Walk, Swindon, appeared in Swindon Magistrates’ Court on 11th August where his sexual risk order – which originally covered contact with vulnerable sex workers – was extended by four years and amended to also cover contact with children and disclosure of internet enabled devices.
The application to extend and amend the order was made by Wiltshire Police due to Morris’s continued use of vulnerable sex workers, which was a breach of his sexual risk order, and concerns around children.
Morris – who has been subject to an SRO since February 2023 – was jailed in June for 20 weeks for the breach, and he remains in prison.
Morris is monitored by our Management of Sexual Offenders and Violent Offenders (MOSOVO) team.
Offender management supervisor for Swindon, Nicola Kerr, said: “I’m pleased to see Morris’s order extended and amended to cover contact with children – he is a clear danger to the public.
“The MOSOVO team will continue to monitor Morris and other registered sex offenders to ensure conditions are complied with and we will not hesitate to take robust action on those who are found to be breaching them.”
