Durrington Businesses Warn of Suspected Overnight Break-Ins
King Fish in Durrington reports an attempted break-in and warns that five local businesses may have been targeted overnight, urging residents to check CCTV.
Businesses in Durrington and the surrounding areas have been urged to remain vigilant after King Fish takeaway reported an attempted break-in and raised concerns that several local businesses may have been targeted in one night.
King Fish, also known as Kingfishdurry, shared a public warning on social media on 16 October after an incident at its premises at around 3am.

The business said someone had attempted to break into the shop, adding that, as far as it was aware, five local businesses had been targeted during the same night. The post stated that the individual had managed to gain entry to some of the premises.
The warning comes after a nearby barbershop was reportedly burgled the previous Saturday night, raising further concerns among local business owners about security in the area.
According to King Fish, CCTV footage showed a person walking past its premises a couple of hours before the earlier incident. The individual’s face was visible in that recording, while the person seen during the latest attempted break-in had their face covered.
The business said it believed the incidents could be connected because of similarities in the individual’s build, facial features and footwear. However, it has not been confirmed whether the incidents involved the same person.
The incidents have caused concern for local businesses, which rely on their premises, equipment and stock to operate. A break-in can also create additional costs, disruption and uncertainty for owners and staff.
In its social media post, King Fish urged residents and businesses to take precautions, secure their properties and review any available CCTV footage.

The business also appealed to anyone with relevant information or footage to come forward, saying that even small details could help establish what happened.
Residents and business owners in Durrington are being encouraged to check doors, windows and other potential entry points, ensure security systems are working properly and report suspicious activity to the police.
Anyone with CCTV or doorbell camera footage covering the area around the reported incidents may also have information that could assist police enquiries.
No confirmed link between the reported incidents has been established from the information shared by the business, and the circumstances surrounding the alleged offences remain unclear.
King Fish asked the local community to share its warning to raise awareness and help protect businesses and residents across Durrington and nearby areas.
Anyone with information about the incidents should contact Wiltshire Police through its official reporting channels, quoting any relevant crime reference number if one has been provided. In an emergency, or if a crime is in progress, call 999.
