The Beat magazine celebrates 287 issues and a new chapter for UK music fans

The Beat Magazine has reached another major milestone with the release of its July 2026 issue, marking issue number 287 and continuing more than two decades of dedicated music journalism.

The latest edition features an exclusive cover interview with Anne Nolan, who reflects on her long career in music and the early days of performing in working men’s clubs.

The issue also includes features on Billy J Kramer’s return to The Cavern, rising young performer Tiffany, Clare Grogan of Altered Images, and The Hollywood Vampires, alongside a special visit to The Beatles Story and coverage of Ringo Starr’s Peace & Love Birthday celebrations.

The Beat also pays tribute to Beaky (John Dymond) and Freddie Cannon, whose passing has been remembered by fans and fellow musicians across the UK music scene.

Founded in 2002 by the late David Parker, The Beat has grown from a small black-and-white A4 publication into a respected full-colour music magazine available in both print and digital formats.

Following Parker’s death in August 2026, the magazine is continuing under the guidance of Karl Plaskett, ensuring that its tradition of artist interviews, live music coverage, reviews and fan-focused features remains at the heart of the publication.
