UK weather forecast: Rain set to end dry spell for many parts of the country

After weeks of hot, dry weather, many parts of the UK are expected to see welcome rainfall as a change in weather conditions moves across the country. Forecasters say the prolonged dry spell will begin to break over the coming days, bringing cooler temperatures, scattered showers and longer periods of rain to several regions.
