Wimbledon 2026: Djokovic, Sabalenka and Sinner headline blockbuster fourth-round action
Novak Djokovic, Aryna Sabalenka and Jannik Sinner headline a thrilling day of fourth-round action at Wimbledon 2026 as the race for the quarter-finals intensifies.
The second week of Wimbledon is underway, with some of the biggest names in tennis battling for places in the quarter-finals at the All England Club.
Seven-time Wimbledon champion Novak Djokovic returned to Centre Court looking to continue his pursuit of a record-breaking 25th Grand Slam singles title. The Serbian faced a tough test as he took on Russia's Roman Safiullin in one of the standout matches of the day.
Women's world No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka also featured in one of the tournament's most anticipated matches against former world No. 1 Naomi Osaka. The clash between two of the biggest stars in women's tennis attracted huge attention, with a place in the Wimbledon quarter-finals at stake.
Defending men's champion Jannik Sinner was also in action on Centre Court, taking on Japan's Shintaro Mochizuki as the Italian looked to continue his impressive title defence. Sinner has been among the favourites throughout the tournament after another outstanding season on the ATP Tour.
Elsewhere, American stars Coco Gauff and Jessica Pegula were aiming to keep their Wimbledon dreams alive, while Britain's hopes rested on the remaining home players still competing in the singles and doubles draws.
With several top seeds already eliminated during the opening week, this year's Championships have become one of the most unpredictable in recent memory. Every match now carries added significance as players move closer to lifting one of tennis's most prestigious trophies.
The Wimbledon Championships continue through to next weekend, with the quarter-finals set to begin after the conclusion of the fourth-round matches.
