Charity Mammoth Car Boot Sale Returns on Bank Holiday Monday
It’s nearly time for the annual Rotary Mammoth Car Boot Sale! The much-loved event returns to the beautiful grounds of Wilton House on Bank Holiday Monday, 31 August.
Last year, more than 5,000 buyers and 400 sellers came along, raising an incredible £28,000 for charity.
The event is run entirely by volunteers, with around 50 people giving up their Bank Holiday to make it happen and every pound raised goes to help worthy local causes, including the Stars Appeal.
Club Secretary Andy Rhind-Tutt said: “The Mammoth Car Boot Sale, now in its 43rd year, is one of the most exhilarating, tiring, yet rewarding events we organise. We cannot thank our volunteers enough, and most importantly, the public who come along, enjoy a great day out and enable us to raise much-needed funds to support people in need in our community.”
It’s a great morning out for all the family whether you’re clearing out the spare room, hunting for a bargain or simply enjoying the atmosphere.
Sellers can arrive from 6.30am via Netherhampton Road. Pitches £20 or £40 for a large pitch.
Buyers gate opens at 8am for early birds at £10 and general admittance is £5 from 9am and £3 from 11am. Children go free.A pedestrian entrance is also open at 8am via South Street Sawmills, Wilton
The sale finishes at 1pm.
